“Hard and Boring”

Carey Mulligan is totally playing me in the movie of my life. This clip, from the film An Education definitely puts things into perspective: I’d much rather be doing something ‘hard and boring’ now than fifty odd years ago, because back then, maybe it would only lead to something equally ‘hard and boring’ probably with some kids squeezed out for good measure.

We’re all so lucky to be having this education thingy going on, but it does make you wonder doesn’t it? Will there be something fun and wonderful at the end? Will it compare to the streets of Paris and Rome, the food and the jazz? Please tell me it will. That way, at least there’ll be something worth making a terribly-over-budget-yet-wannabe-arty-biopic about for Carey Mulligan to be me in.
